100% Hope Inc. adheres to the National Privacy Principles under the Australian Privacy Act (1988), as set out in this policy.
The Child Development Program, Future Hope, adheres to the strict guidelines as set out below in order to ensure the highest degree of confidentiality is upheld throughout the conduct of this Program.
We strive to collect, use, store and disclose personal information of children and sponsors with the highest degree of integrity.
We will only collect personal information where necessary and with consent. Supporters, volunteers and employees are required to provide information such as full name, address and email. Where necessary we may also require date of birth and payment details.
We will only collect and store payment card information in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
Using your information
Future Hope may use information obtained to maintain contact with sponsors, volunteers, employees and contractors. This may include providing updates and reports on our work, issuing tax receipts and facilitating contact with children, where appropriate.
Future Hope may also use information stored by 100% Hope Inc. to action a request from a sponsor, volunteer, employee or contractor. This includes but is not limited to payment of a gift or donation, registration to an event, subscription to our newsletter or other resource, and change of details.
Other purposes relating to our work may require the use of your information, however we will adhere to the privacy law requirements at all times.
We will take all reasonable steps to keep your information as secure and accurate as possible.
Disclosing your information
We will not disclose your personal information to other individuals, organisations or corporations outside 100% Hope Inc. without your prior consent. We may disclose your personal information to our overseas affiliated offices where necessary.
Employees or contractors within our organisation such as legal, accounting, banking, information technology, mail delivery, market analysis and research may receive your personal information. We ensure agreements with these professional service providers include privacy and confidentiality obligations.
Where reasonably practicable we endeavour to permanently de-identify and destroy personal information if there is no requirement to retain it.
If you require access to your personal information, please contact us. This may incur a fee for administration expenses. If your request breaches the privacy of another, your request may be denied at our discretion. Identification will be required with any request.
